A Celebration of Love

Valentine’s day was always celebrated in my home, but not how you would normally imagine – mom and dad leaving kids with the nanny and dad whisking mom away on a romantic date. No, my parents celebrated Valentine’s day at home with my siblings and I. As a result, I have always believed that it was a day to celebrate love, not just romantic love but familial love, unconditional love and passionate love for anything and anyone.

I still prefer to think of Valentine’s day in that way – a celebration of love. If you like that notion then you could celebrate it anywhere, with anyone (and anything) that you love. And if you love fashion then why not celebrate that? It can be done without breaking the bank or exceeding your budget.

My look today is definitely a celebration of my love for fashion. I got this jumpsuit on sale at Spree for R149, and it was love at first sight! Black jumpsuits are pretty popular right now and the right one could give you lots of wears when styled in different ways, which means more bang for your buck!

I’ve styled mine with heels and gold accessories for sundowners with the girls, but I can easily see myself wearing these with flats and hat for a sunset picnic on the beach, or with a blazer and court shoes to a business meeting.

Whatever your Valentine’s day plans are I hope you celebrating what you love or with who you love, and that you look good while doing it.

‘Til next time

Absolutley agree about Valentine’s day being a celebration of all kind of love.

I love the jumpsuit. Very flattering and would suit most body shapes.
