So we’re all familiar with that awkward moment when you leave your house dressed for Winter, and by noon its scorching outside. Or looking out the window in the morning, seeing the sun shining like its Summer again and then suddenly it looks like rain.
This is probably the worst time of the year and we never really know what to wear during this “in-between” season we’re experiencing in Cape Town right now. There literally are hundreds of options but I’ve chosen to go with the “off the shoulder” trend or “The Bardot” as the people who know what they’re talking about call it. My absolute favourite. Ideal for rocking all year round, like I’ve done here, paired with skinny jeans and boots.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate these boots in this amazing colour?! I bought these online last winter and never really had an opportunity to rock them proper.
Ok back to the look. The “off the shoulder” trend like I’ve said my favourite trend of all the trends. You cannot go wrong, it’s a classic / classy look, and it never goes out of style. I just feel like the neck and shoulders are such a sexy part of the body to show of. It allows you to be a little flirty without trying too hard or at all, and show a little bit of skin without revealing too much. Its super feminine and literally suits every body type.
I think this look would look cute with a short denim skirt and a pair of stockings as well. And that’s what’s awesome about this trend- its so versatile. Whether it’s a top or dress or even off the shoulder shirt (that Rihanna’s been popularising lately) you can wear it all year round, no matter the occasion.
